Yes, any professions that deals with skills and knowledge do not have to retire as long as you have clients coming for your services, it is important to learn an Indispensable skill, because you'll be paid for life, for example as a software developer even after you've retired from working a job you can still make money through consultation or build an agency where you take on clients job.
I think going for a skill intensive program will help you a lot in being employable and give you a sense of fulfillment in your life than just mundane office work.
