GMO is an abbreviation for genetical modified organisms. I mean things such as crops or other plants or animals that have been genetically modified in a laboratory to possess attributes, such as resistance to pests or quicker growth. They maintain that the technology can enable society feed more people by increasing production of food crops. While some people are excited about the innovations others are concerned about their health and the impact they have on the environment. One must wonder, are GMOs really safe for us and nature? Should we rely with them to feed our increasing population or should we look for other options? The answer to the question depends on the study, and more studies are required in order to make a call.
