It all boils down to the opportunities you have around you, if you have to struggle with electricity and internet then it's definitely no brainer to start an online business, as it needs this as requisite to get it off the ground, it's the same for an offline business, before starting a business, you'll need to find a middle ground where you can afford the capital and also have some unfair advantage in such domains.

Throwing the question to the forum, what business do you think will be hard to start given a choice between an online business and an offline business ?

If you ask me, I will say there is never an easy way or mode of running business. However, the online business idea is more flexible as you might run it at the comfort of your home. You don't have to be there physically for you to make sales or generate money. You can easily automate most of the stages required to make money online. You can sell a product, your money can be credited into your account without you moving a finger. That's just the flexibility. But for an offline job, you have to be there or have someone fill in for you if you are not going to be available so you don't lose your customers.

Personally I do not think either of the two easy, they both have their advantages and as well as their disadvantags. I believe the major reasons why most people feel working online is easier is the fact that you don't have to worry about going out before you work. You can be anywhere and still carry out your online work.

If you do not have the right skills, both can be hard and if you have required skills, both can be easy. The answer is as simple as this. However, it is also true it does not cost a lot of money to create an online business, therefore, even when you fail you do not loose a lot of money. Just because you do not have to go to workplace and you can work form home does not mean your online business is easier to run compared to offline business

Yes, skills are extremely crucial in whatever business you choose to run, it can be hard or easy depending on that, this further means whatever business you choose to go with, you should make sure you know how it works inside out and know how the business model works, because you'll just end up losing money in the long run without adequate knowledge of its operation.

You can go through an internship or apprenticeship to learn how a business work before you invest into it or you can partner with someone that already has the skills and you bring in the capital to run the business.
