Gaming is very common form of entertainment, it is really difficult to find people who do not play games on their phones, PC or consoles. A lot of people also try to make money through gaming. There are multiple ways to earn as a gamer, for example, you can livestream gameplay, share gaming tips and tricks through videos or articles, review games, sell games and earn commissions on sales, sell game merchandise ,participate in affiliate marketing, etc. But the main question is: is it really easy to make money as a gamer? How likely is it for someone who does not play in the professional level to make money?

Gaming is a common sport or activity anyone can engage themselves in. Making money through playing games, on the other hand, requires more work. While you can easily stream your games, you need to generate traffic to be able to start earning. The use of SEO and keywords is extremely important; then again, you also need to look for ways to advertise your content.
I don't think it's easy to make money as a gamer because there are a lot of competition in the niche, you'll have kids of 16 or even less that are really good in gaming and knows everything about it, so how exactly are you going to beat these kind of freaks, i think creating review videos can work in gaming, like you can create video reviews of many channels and how they function.
Add some new twist to it and you might just get others interested and get paid through ad revenue, or if you've got real gaming skills you can take part in esports.
