Generating a first sale is very important on Fiverr. Because when you generate first sale and when you get five start rating on your sale will not only improve your reputation as a seller but also improve your ranking on Fiverr search. However, selling on Fiverr is more than just creating a gig, it is about reaching the target customer, it needs strategic planning. Your gig needs to be unique, you need to offer something better than your competitor. Avoid oversaturated services, instead, tap into high-demand areas where there is less competition. For example, if you are a graphic designer, avoid saturated services like creating YouTube thumbnails or Instagram templatesm, instead try visual eBooks or Tshirt designs.

The general advise as a beginner is to make your account stand out make sure you have a portfolio that is presentable and also build a lot of projects that shows your clients you know what you are doing, this gives you an edge over others since you are new and do not have reviews.

Secondly, if you have money you can give your friends to buy your gigs on the platform the more your gigs are being bought the more visible it will on be and the more you'll be able to land clients since your profile will be trending.

I tried fiverr once but it did not work out the way I had hopped. I have plans on giving it another go, but not sure when. I guess it's safe to say I was not patient enough back then to actually take time and understand how it all works.
