Low sperm concentration and male infertility can be caused by conditions and diseases. An example is E.coli bacteria particularly as it affects the genital organs. They can cause blockage of the tubes within the testes, which makes it difficult for a man to sire children. Sperm cells are sensitive toany environmental factors, and physical harm such as an injury to the testes or sitting on it affects the quality ofsperm. It also involves whether genetic disorders or abnormally arranged chromosomes have something to do with it or not. Infertility arises later because in retrograde ejaculation, the sperm actually regurgitates into the bladder rather than into the vagina. Some instances, the immune system of the body becomes hostile against sperm cells regarding them as foreign bodies that have to be cleared from the body. It affects sperm production due to/ Hormonal/ Low levels of testosterone or FSH. Some-going drugs include beta blockers for hypertension and others that affect sperm production or quality. The management of these factors is important if fertility must be retained.
