1) Learn the Art of Taking Notes: In order to retain what you've learnt, you should create a habit of taking notes of what you've learnt in class, all you need is a jotter and a pen.

2) Revision: Do not wait till it's during exam period before you'll read your notes, make it a habit to revise each class after lecture, favorably at night before you retire to bed.

3) Teach Others: By teaching others it'll help you in solidifying what you've learnt, you can also form a study group where you teach other different topics.

What else can you add to the list?

These methods worked for me. find a quiet spot, no distractions. Break your study time into chunk, ensure you don’t cram everything at once. You should also use notes and flashcards to keep it interesting. Take breaks to rest your brain. Don’t just read and forget, try to practice what you learn. Review often to keep it fresh. Stay focused, and don't panic even during exams and you will excel. There are other methods that can work best for you too, you should try to find out what method it's.

This works for some students they revise during the exam period and after that gets good marks and even better from people that revises every day which makes surprises.
