To promote children’s mental health their environment at home and school has to be safe and their feelings and experiences have to be validate. Help children feel comfortable in talking about their feelings and feel comfortable with talking about it. Develop patterns of behavior that give predictability including sleep, feeding and fun. Encourage basic stress relieving strategies such as blow outs or diary writing amongst them. Avoid guided self-help as it raises self-esteem and anxiety levels and lessen their usage of social media and negative news. Promote the activeness, because exercises always have positive effect on people’s mood and lessen the level of stress. Finally, do as you desire, by modeling healthy ways of dealing with stress. Ensure that parents-and other caretakers- get the necessary assistance from psycho-social workers and other counsellors to enhance the full support of children’s’s mental health as well.
