How does copywriting differ from content writing? What are the differences between a copy and content?

Tone: A copy is direct, it encourages to take action. Content is informative and engaging, it provides insights.

Purpose: Take an action is the primary purpose of a copy. However, the purpose of content is to build relationships and trust with your audience.

Goal: The goal of copywriting is to encourage people to sign up for your newsletters, sign up on your website, submit contact address, buy products and services, click on the links, hit call to action or buy button, etc. Content writing, on the other hand, aims to solve the specific problems the readers have.

Copywriting is the commercial side of writing, as a copywriter, you use your words to persuade a buyer to swipe their card and make a sale, it is also psychological and also more precise than content writing, a copy writer makes more money than a content writer because you can get a deal to earn a percentage of a product you write a copy for.

Content writing has different facets and for most it involves creating about what you find interesting, you don't have to follow rules or get someone to buy, the only requirement in content writing is to be Interesting.
