When you have decided to buy a property either to live in or as an investment, you will have to be careful about how much you are paying. The price of a property is influenced by a lot of things like the age of the property, condition of the property, location, and the type. A property in excellent condition, and in a prime location will usually have heavy pricing, compared to a property that is in bad shape and needs significant renovations. However, buying cheaper properties, renovating these properties can get you higher price and will help you make good profits.

Number one determinant of price of real estate is the location, if you have a real estate in an upscale neighborhood and hold it for a very long time thrn you're definitely going to be making a lot of money on it when you sell it, so if you want to buy or get into real estate business it's important to consider the location.

You can bank on location all the time, I think it's even the single determinant all of the other factors fade in comparison with location, either an estate or a developed estate get a high valuation of they're located in upscale area.
