Some people are so much stuck with lack of money that they end up praying for money. People end up praying for money because they don't know how to make money. They are so much wrapped up in everyday activities that they are unable to learn how to make more money, or even when they know how to make more money they do not attempt it because they are do not try to improve skills and knowledge. If you lack money in your life, you need to work for money. If your existing skills are not helping you generate enough, you should boost your skills.

I think is an archaical mentality to pray for money, praying is spiritual and it meant to serve spiritual purposes while money on the other hand is physical and you should apply physical skills to aquire money, there are different skills nowadays that anyone can try out and learn and with time they can be able to get paid offering such types of skills.
There is Trading, Programming, Graphics design, Content Creation as long as one is not lazy and can put in crazy hours then for sure they can succeed in making money, prayer might help but it doesn't have direct correlation with money.

I think combining prayer and hard work gives a positive result instead of separating them.
