As a business owner, you should always make sure you're in control of your business; nowadays, if you're starting an online business, you'll have to piggyback on some resources, for example, building an audience through Facebook or viewers through YouTube, the problem with all of these alternatives is that they can wake up one day and block your account. You'll lose all that you've worked for.
A good business owner should find a way to get people on his platform that they can control; this will give them a sort of control over the revenue they make so that even if they get kicked out, they can still keep in touch with their clients.
